At home in Buenos Aires, Clara hears strange voices coming from the plughole in her kitchen sink. The voices seem to be discussing a plan to kill her. That night, awakened by thumping sounds, Juan is terrified to find Clara's dead body hovering in midair in their bathroom, repeatedly slamming against the wall as if thrown by an invisible force.
A husband returns home to find his wife terrified to enter the bathroom because there are voices coming from the pipes. Voices promising to kill her. As she turns into a bloody human pinball, their entire neighbourhood turns into a giant paranormal freak show. Faced with these unearthly incidents and short on answers, a policeman calls upon two paranormal researchers to investigate.
Hence, as the story moves forward, Rugna immerses Terrified (2017) in more and more darkness, placing a dazed-and-confused police lieutenant in the middle of things, as a company to the three scientists doing their odd research. The police officer strengthens the feeling of disorder and darkness too, mostly thanks to the role of Maximiliano Ghione. Looking at the events from his perspective adds a misty, unreal filter to the film.
The tense opening makes clear that the title is its intent. A terrified Clara (Natalia Señoriales) tells her husband Juan (Agustín Rittano) about the threatening voices she hears, coming from the kitchen pipes.
The story of Aterrados starts one place but moves on to cover several families that are touched by something leaving them terrified. In that sense, it reminded me of the original Spanish version of [REC].
The wildness of March Madness 2018 has me pondering goals. Some of these teams whose seasons ended this weekend set goals to win a National Championship. Others, who are playing next week may have set the goal of simply winning more games than they did last year. Some set comfortable goals. Others made uncomfortable goals. And still, others set goals which terrified them.
If your goal setting feels comfortable or creates a terrified feeling for you and your team, then feel free to reach out and we can open a conversation and let's look at how you can coach your team to success.
To millions across this country who are terrified of what will happen, I would urge you: this is not over yet. Stay in the streets. Call your senators and tell them to vote no. When your Member of Congress comes home after voting yes, tell them exactly what you think of their cruel vote to strip health care from millions. 59ce067264
