NV-Raytrace and Raytrace Shadows are the next best options if you desire a smoother look. Unity raytracing can be very taxing on CPU and GPU, both of which appear to be adequate in the game but with obvious and large dips. NV-Raytracing, on the other hand, copes well with its inclusion of an entire cluster of graphics cards in a stand-alone machine. This results in major gains in performance when using it. NV-Raytracing has the added benefit (at least on the PC platforms) of rendering shadows more accurately and consistently to all kinds of surfaces, while raytracing in general renders the shadows to a single surface type (such as pavement).
Note, however, that raytracing is not on-device - the shadows must be render to a drawing surface in memory, and can be shared with any other effects. If your space is scarce (as most smartphones have) you can achieve further gains by disabling all other shaders in the graphics settings, and as such NV-Raytracing has some performance wins. City and Scriptable Object Shadows are rendered using raytracing with ray-casting on-device in the CPU or GPU. Consequently, they render shadows for more surfaces, are generally more accurate, and are also far more accurate at dusk and dawn daylight hours (environmental rays cast shadows to different surfaces at different times of the day).
Reflection Quality is the next weaker point in the list, and is after all, a purely visual effect. There is little performance benefit to be had by reducing the number of lights a car casts (or any vehicle, for that matter). The detail of the reflection becomes far less detailed as any shadows are removed, however, and the number of reflections to compute (which we would equate to the number of lights to help illuminate a scene) is significantly more. Increasing Reflection Quality also makes use of the reflections visible in the water and at the window, increasing their detail and visual appeal, and also affecting the number of reflections. Ambient Occlusion may then be increased to again increase Reflection Quality while preserving render cost. d2c66b5586
