UPDATE: Forcibly syncing data on PS Plus will also help with cross-gen games that're missing saves. For example, if you've upgraded to AC Valhalla on PS5 but your PS4 saves still aren't there, do this:
I just got my PS5 today, and so far the PS4-to-PS5 transition has been somewhat rocky. If you're like me you want to see how fast the PS5's SSD can load unoptimized games, and how much said games are boosted. It's no good bringing your games over without progress, though, and the data copying process doesn't always work for saves.
The main issue I've had is transferring game saves and software data over to the PS5 via direct console-to-console transfer. I connected both consoles together via ethernet and copied select data, including saves and actual full games, from the PS4 over to the PS5.
Whether it's automatic cloud backups on PlayStation Plus, manual backups on PS Plus, or routine once-a-month copies to a USB drive, make sure you back your data up. There's nothing worse than losing your saves in games you've played for hundreds of hours.
4. Now you need to find the folder with MotoGP '07 executable. In the example picture they are located in Binaries / Retail subfolder. You need to extract downloaded x360ce ZIP file to folder with your game executable file.
Important: Back up your game before trying to uninstall and reinstall it as a troubleshooting step. If your game is not saved when you uninstall it, you could lose all the game data on your account.
In a code postmortem at the end of the first MotoGP project, we came up with the theory that rewriting flawed code always saves time in the long run, and is better than trying to work around existing design flaws. When we started on the Live version, our initial analysis of the work involved suggested the UI requirements discussed above, but at the time our UI system provided none of that, and had already proven awkward to work with even for the simpler situations encountered in a single player game.
Fortunately for us, Xbox Live provides an auto-update mechanism. Retail disks had already been manufactured by the time we fixed the bug, but that was no problem. We prepared an update in time for the retail Live launch, reset the scoreboards to remove the glitch times, and all was well. As far as I'm aware, MotoGP was the first-ever console game to be updated via an online download, and the process is so transparent that many gamers never even realised it had happened. 2b1af7f3a8
